2019, masking tape, acrylic, oil, mixed media on canvas
500cmx100cm, 196.8 x 39.3inch
Description: This work started off in 2017 when the artist just got enlisted into the army. He stopped after one month after he went through tougher training until in 2019 when he reopened the work again. The work shows the artist's imagination and his state of suffering and pain in the army. The artist has many plants inside and outside of his house, these plants serve as a therapy and a life form that keep him relax after a long week of training. The work also shows his homesickness significantly. He has to build himself a mental comfort zone out of a physical home as he felt he doesn't belong in Singapore.
- Packaging and Delivery Fee is excluded. Fee will apply on top of the purchased price.
- exhibited in Singapore at SPRMRKT, "Are You Coming Home?"
